Hi Folks, does anyone know --- rather than try so and so..... where I can obtain a front door window switch for an A Class Burstner please? Dealer was supposed to supply one, but that hasn't happened and it's been three months now and I would like to have it working.

Have just received my Mirror Guard protectors for my stickie-out mirrors. While fitting seems relatively easy....peel off sticky pads and fit....is there any preparation needed on the mirror back or is it just a case of peeling off and fit? Thanks.

From Grenoble to Ste. Maxime is very mountainous and could be quite challenging in wintertime. Going via Aix-en-Provence would be an easier option.

Thanks, actually planning now for slightly warmer time of year.😁

Hi, no doubt it has been asked b4, however, opinions or experience please on routes from Calais, south to Alps around Grenoble area then on to Ste. Maxime near med coast. Don't mind some tolls, but not all tolls. 3 - 4 hours driving per day really is my limit due to health issues. Thanks.

This will fit any tow ball hitch, however it is especially suited to panel vans because of its tilt and swivel action that allows the rear doors to be opened. Only used for one holiday.

After getting the run around for over two months, when my van was "in", I got a phonecall to say van was ready to collect as no work needed to be carried out. Was told recall was just to check to see if part needed replaced, as some didn't need replacing. Really don't have a lot of confidence for the future use and warranty.

Contacted Donnellys again today as none of their "we'll call you" calls ever materialised. Due another one of these "calls" in another week or so, we'll see if that happens.

Donnellys - first date was cancelled. I phoned to check the appointment was still on -- "did no one phone you Mr......? The parts are not in yet. They had been trying to phone me on numbers I did not recognise, despite them taking my details. Lady said she would phone me on Friday or Monday at the latest. Guess what - no phone call. I phoned on Tuesday only to be told by the lady who was now quite "sharpish" that someone would phone me when the parts arrived. Forgive me for not really expecting a call.
Rubbish service from Donnellys.

Hi Mark, must have paged past your comments, sorry, will find link somehere when I read back through all the comments, I take it there is not one overall tax sticker that covers everywhere? again, there doesn't seem to much clarity, as I see on other forums there is a lot of confusion regarding this issue.

Are these tax stickers required to simply drive on a ring road around a city or are they required to just enter a city? We tend to drive around big cities and using ring roads rather than entering them.
There appears to be little clarity about this.

Had SOG system fitted to previous MH for eight years, great device, cuts down on nasty smells in van and makes emptying easier as contents of cassette are more slush than solid. No chemical smell in van. Just got new van and had it fitted. Also - you don't need to purchase ultra thin loo roll either. Without any of the usual toilet jokes - in all seriousness IMO it's a great job.

Thanks Ham and Jam. Have mobility problems and hope not to have to walk too far, although if there's no rush I can dander along at a slow pace. Also have three Boxers to think about too - one a golden oldie who walks at my pace.
Checked out Westport house and discovered a no dog sign, their web site doesn't appear to be working properly at the moment so might try phoning them.
Prefer quite at night so town carparks may not be best option.
Thanks again.

Recently had warning light to indicate blown bulb. Discovered two and replaced them. Dash warning light has not gone out, can't find any more blown bulbs, do I have to go to someone with computer wizardry to reset this? Last time it happened the dash light went out itself when bulbs were replaced, but not this time. 🇧🇭

hi, I fitted a Gas-it twin 11kg bottle system myself in a not too rushed hour or so. Got another pipe I needed along with an adopter from Simon - Leisuretech - also got him to pressure test the system just to make sure all was OK. Great savings over refills and with a nozzle adapter you can fill up if on the continent. Reckon to recoup total cost in about 3 years.
PS there are other outlets who sell Gas-it kits cheaper than Gas-it themselves.

Thanks Ally. Found a site which listed 4 stations in Portadown and there's one in Armagh which pogonogo had told me about. Thanks also to pogonogo for the refilling idea. Filled up yesterday 2 11kg tanks for £29 a considerable saving over refills. First part of my payback!
Went to Bp site up from can't find the chicken in Portadown only to discover the LPG pump was at the very back of the set of pumps, they also had a one way system which I had to go the wrong way to in order to line up with the pump===while doing so a plonker in a black suzi vitara drove in as I was reversing to the pump---I sat for what felt like ages blocking the back corner of the site with many people annoyed. Had had enough so went to the bee pee station - (same owners) just b4 the hospital and got filled there.

Just fitted a Gas It twin 11kg bottle system with external filler. Thanks to Simon Leisure Tech for checking the system for me and supplying pigtails and continental adapters.
Gas It system was approx 20% cheaper from a stockist rather than from themselves.
No more heavy bottles to lug in and out of locker.
Next problem - locating LPG stations! :'(

Thanks for the responses - . headin for 5 weeks to continent and have 13kg plus 6 kg in gas locker. Locker will not hold two 13 kg so just hoping we will not run out. Will be off site most of the time with only 3 nights planned on a site. BBQ and fridge will probably be in full swing in the slightly warmer climate!!!! :D
Was thinking if it was legal to carry an extra cylinder in boot - especially in ferry and tunnel I might take one - now not so sure.
Thanks.
