Air con or Cooler

I was looking at air con unit for my motorhome when I came accross the Viesta evaporative cooler. I know they are not air con units but pretty close and they can work off mains with the help of solar power.

Has anyone any opinions on these swamp coolers (Aussie definition).

The suppliers are very upfront about the actual cooling Vs an air con on power. The water needed can be plumbed in to the motorhome water.

Thanks in advance.

do you know if there is a dealer in UK/Ireland for these units and what is the cost ?

There have been members here that had evaporative coolers of a different brand on here a couple of years ago and their experience wasn't too good.

Id say they might struggle to cool sufficiently in S France or Spain in summer.

I would be interested in getting some details on this too though...

Thanks for reply. The company are based in Naas, Co Kildare - Cold Chain Ltd and they mainly deal in tractor cab cooling. I will keep you informed on cost as there could be an end of season sale. Regards
