hello ,
I have recently purchased an a class burstner,
The window regulator is broken,as I had bought one before for a van for 80 euro,
I presumed around the same price for burstner,
Got a quote for 400 euro without fitting,
Any body got any ideas on how to reduce this cost to a more manageable 100 Euro.
Thank in advance John

Hi John..

Maybe it may be cheaper to get if fixed in France or Spain.

I don't know. But I wonder if Bustner developed and manfactered there own window regulator or just used an off the shelf part.

Might be worth investigating. You may also find a part that is close enough?

But like I say I don't know much about this stuff, just thinking out loud.

It's probably out of something other than a Ducato.

Burstner tended to use doors from Dometic on their 'A' Class Motorhomes. If you remove the panelling from the door you will more than likely find that there is nothing to identify the make or type of the window winder.
However, it is possible to replace the unit with a similar one which you can source from the Internet (E-bay for example). As long as the mountings are similar you can easily adjust for the replacement. A little inventiveness and effort can save you a lot of money.
