Following from my charger episode last week,

I'm still waiting for the lovely people at Apple to get back to me with the good news :bandit:

My question is had anybody actually had both iPhone and android?
Which one is preferred now that you have used both?

I have a feeling that apple will tell me that my iPhone is for scrap but looking at the option of Samsung Sony or what ever is there at the minute,

This doesn't count but I had a Samsung (small & cheap one) and it fried my head so I'm a bit slow to grab another one,

I bet if I started a poll it would pi** everybody off

It's personal choice, I've had a couple of HTC androids and now on an iPhone 6, I liked the android platform but now find that the iPhone just seems to be better easier to use for what I want to do, it links into my iPad as well which the android didn't, but if you have an android tablet that may be different. Ask me again in a years time and I may have changed my mind

I have an iMac, iPhone and iPad. They synchronize messages, contacts, etc.. I can answer the phone if I am sitting at the iMac. If all you want is a phone and your Nokia is bust, buy the cheapest thing you can dial on. If you want it all to work together, go Apple.

Thanks for the input so far,

Looks like it's 50/50, I do have iPad and iMac so pairing all up might be a bit handier alright,

There's no doubt Apple is the way forward. If you are not into Apple then you are ,Irving in the last century. I've got an Apple iPad, IPhone, Mac Book Pro and they are all linked together through iCloud. It's a super combination and there's definitely nothing to come anywhere near to it.

John, if you have an iPad and I Mac, I think you would be mad going for an Android.

Ally, I never though I would hear that coming from you. Nevertheless, I'm glad you are in a position to give good advice even though it goes against your grain to commend Apple.

Jack are you able to get the IPad & the Mac book to communitate with one another through Bluetooth or Airdrop ??

Mine will not see one another from :Bluetooth or Airdrop :
I don't like using the iCloud. I know this is an issue with apple at the min just wondering if they worked for you.? :-)

I know that not very helpful but it's seems easy enough to do. Have you closed down everything before you tried to connect them?

Yes done that several times, flushed DNS and all that stuff. My mac sees the I pad But I can't transfer files to or from it. My mac is early 2009 that seems to be where the problem lies.
Running Os X 10.10.5 so everything up to date on the score.

Oddly enough my mac will see my android phone and other androids and all works well with them.

I've had it with Apple phones.

My son bought a Samsung Galaxy earlier this week for €100 and it has all of the functionality of my iphone 5. It's just nuts how much the apple phones are commanding now. For what?

I have a feeling my next phone will be an android device.

(Or maybe a Nokia 6230i... )

My first smartphone was an iphone and now I have a samsung. Personally I much prefer Samsung, for me it's a lot more user-friendly and I find the battery life to be better.
