We ended up in the Aire of Futurescope by accident because a nearby ACSI site that we intended staying on was locked up when we got there. My question is what is Futurescope? Is it for adults or Children? Is it worth going to or not?

If you like simulator rides it is a great day out Pat.
We haven't been for about 8 years and we did take the kids.

If you are already there you might as well.

We were there last year and the year before, like you we just stumbled upon it, the light show in the evening is okay, we saw it the first year but it's outdoor and it was raining.Went back last year with 2 grandkids for the full day they loved it it's only for kids and teenagers.

It is a theme park for adults and children it was voted the best theme park in the world last or the year before, i have been about 6 times, you would need about 3 days to get it all in could be done in 2 if you time every thing right,i don't have the words to explain it but it beats Disney land hands down.puydufou.com
I am sure other cracires have been.

Went there last year and yes it beats Disney on every count. The Aire there is only 6€ for overnight (01:00 - 07:00) free during the day (07:00 - 01:00) compared to 30€ day a Disney.

A 2 day (the very minimum you should get) ticket is less than 50€ comapred to getting a mortgage for Disney.

And last but not least it all works, compared to about 50% "Ferme" on my visit to Dismaland Paris.

Some pics.

We were one weekend too late.

So we saw "Organs of Fire" instead.

I have never seen that, saw Cinescenic 3 times, you would never see everything that's going on with over 1200 actor's performing each night.it's incredible that's why it's called France's best kept secret.

I think the changeover dates are September and sometime around Easter.

As far as I can remember Cinescenic is only on Friday and Saturday night's in July and August, it's best to book before hand I think it' only hold 20000 people, and they get up to 100000 people day visitor's

You can come and go as you please from the park to the aire. Make sure you get your hand stamped going out for re-entry. If you leave the aire you have to repay for parking each time you leave. We spent 4 days there last year. We bought an annual ticket in the end as it lasts 18 months and we will revisit there this year.
It is a full day and evening park. the show at night is one of the highlights of the park. There is plenty to do there for kids of all ages including adults

When you go in past the car barriers the aire is on your right. There is a building there where people leave their dogs when they are in the park for the day. In front of that building is a place for grey and black water...fresh water and elec can be bought too at that point.
~In the building there are coffee machines and you can get fresh bread in the mornings...well you can when i was there last summer

Anyone thinking of going here during the summer the Aire is charged from 8 am to 8 am €9 so if you arrived at 5 pm on Friday spend all day in futurescope on Saturday and leave at 10 am on Sunday the Aire will cost you €27 a bit of a sting on the way out, this is also the Aire for Poitiers

Very few people will get out of there for the one 24hr fee, that is a rip off as only the French will be gone.

Thanks for the information. We are planning to spend a couple of days there and looking forward to it. Their website says there is an evening rate of €4 from 4.30pm to 7am. does this not apply for motorhomes? ?

I think you’d need two days to see all the sights especially if you go to the night show with the lasers and fountains It’s a lot to take in in one day.

Its definitely worth a visit. We have been at all parks u could mention and futurscope last August...top tip go for the evening ticket...get there around 5...all queues are well down as most are knackered or eating...u can still get round the best ones if u plan first...some say its too outdated but I disagree...there is a brilliant WRC simulation and a virtual hot air balloon ride from Paris to sahara and back complete with pine mist sprayed at you when over alpine forests to name but a few. The evening ticket also let's u in for the laser light show on lake at end. We stayed in a campsite 1 mile away with a pool and view of park...I think its called camping le futuriste.
