Just stayed a couple of nights on the marina at Kilrush. Lots of room, 2 min walk into town, right next to marina and NO "no camping" signs! Lovely town with plenty of nice shops and large parking spaces. Definitely worth a visit!
I'd agree kilrush is a nice town, it won a tidy town award last year. The marina is nice and it's a nice walk to town or to the lifeboat station. It has some fantastic local shops, including the best butcher I've ever found plus a tesco and aldi. It is a good location to tour the local area.
