We started yesterday making the Singing Pub our first overnight stop and we weren't disappointed ,our meal was excellent and so was the black stuff . Two guys playing the guitar entertained us .
Today we stopped at Ards Forest Park and had a good 2 hour walk in the sunshine . Moved on to the harbour at Min Larach (thank you Helgahobby )what a great choice , Bizz is really happy with his beach for the night . It is now wine o'clock happy days .i

Hi Craicers,
Had a look at Narin, good spot big beach, lashing rain so didn't linger. Also checked out Cloughglass POI, scary winding road, couple of bends just made it in our Sundance (7m & a bit), but at the end was the most beautiful sheltered beach & a big level hard standing area, 10m from the beach great for a swim or kayak etc. On to Teelin Harbour at the foot of Slieve League for an over nighter. Lovely quiet spot great scenery all around, short walk to the Rusty Mackerel pub, do lovely sandwiches or tasty toasties, great Guinness, dog friendly pub!! Did half of Slieve League next day, another scary, winding ,certain death if you come of the track kind of road!! Then on to Fintragh Bay for the beach walk, feck me, the steepest hill yet down to it. Lovely beach but had to get Em to walk up the hill to stop cars coming down the single track because a hill start for me would have been impossible, needs done in one go, never again. On to Donegal town, too early for the Quay car park then used the new Aire at Gateway lodge beside Blas restaurant, 3 mins out from town. 15E new toilet, water (looking 10e for hook up which we declined) Turned out too close to noisy main road. Lovely meal in ABBEY hotel. Then on to Rossnowlagh beach for the afternoon, able to drive right onto the beach. Then on to Harrys Pub for a class meal followed by a session, 7 guitars going, great crowd & the owner played Bohemian Rhapsody on his piano, brilliant! 3am finish, the Guinness was flowing, not so brilliant next day! Good spot to empty bins and toilets nearby at the beach car park. On to have a look at Easkey a very rocky beach & exposed, not for us. The Beach bar POI was packed out but looked good, maybe next time. Ended up in Ennishcrone behind hotel beside lovely beach, 4 other vans, quiet bed at 10pm knackered. On to Achill island stayed over at Keem Strand really quiet, another very steep road but safe except also certain death drop, weather very rainy but picked up nicely next day. On to the beach at Keel but it would blow your socks off. Everyone wearing big coats and wellies if they weren't surfing! We are presently in the parking area behind the Westport leisure centre in the middle of town. Free between 7pm to 830am then only 70c first hour & 30c per hour thereafter. Using the centre tomorrow for a good swim. 100yds to many many pubs and restaurants. The Quay poi is a mile walk up a hill into town but nice and some pubs there as well. Presently chill axing, Em & Bizz snoozing on the bed I'm off to nearby huge Supervalu for a bottle of wine! 18 more sleeps to home at this point seems a good long time but know how it zooms by.
Cheers Em John & Bizz having a great time scattering Euros to help Ireland's economy

We spent the day on Omey Island we decided against driving across and it was wise , watched the tide come in and the cars having to make a quick exit off the beach .

Jack , only a half circuit lol 1200 miles clocked up . We had mixed weather but the sun always came out at some point . Back home now with the van emptied and the washing started so it's time to relax and enjoy a glass of wine .
