Car Racing at Bishopscourt

Car racing is set to return to Bishopscourt race circuit Co Down and join motorcycling and rallying, after an absence of 44 years.

The race meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday May12/13 and will be promoted by Leinster Motor Club who incidentally organised the last car racing event held at the track in 1968. The race meeting will feature all the main classes currently racing in Ireland and other classes, like those traditionally run at nearby Kirkistown race circuit are likely to be added to the bill. We're thinking of going down on the Friday and Saturday night - should be good craic.

Might try and get along to that, any problems with permission parking overnight there Deirdre ? I take it that a few competitors/service crews would be doing likewise. Must check to see if there is a website and events program somewhere, thanks for posting.
