I'm heading to Miltown Malbay in a couple of weeks for the Willie Clancy Summer school and wonder does anyone have experience of Motorhome parking in the town. I know there are campsites in Doonbeg and Spanish Point, I think, but I'd like to stay in the town for a night or two

I drove up to miltown during the festival last year during the day and there were a few motorhomes parked up. I'm not sure if they were there over night. There are a few back roads but even these roads were chocked with cars parked. If it were me I would get there early and find a decent place to park up as it seems to get busier as the week progresses.

There were loads if MHs parked off the road around Spanish point which is not far from Miltown but again I'd recommend getting one of these spots early.

Good luck and enjoy Willie Clancy.

We stayed last year for 3 days in car park behind the gaa ground ideal and a short walk to town, follow the sign for the mill marque, there were 6 other vans and we asked if we could stay. No bother. Its beside the marque and at night u will have the kilfinora ceili band on then the next night its the tulla ceili band beside you in the marque various other events be on during the day. We also stayed at spanish point very busy though and further out of town. I would definitely park here again very safe and close to town. Hope this helps, any other info just let me know.
