We stayed at Portumna on Friday night which is a lovely place to stay with all facilities. The couple who were with us were speaking with the Groundsman and he told them there is plans to provide about 20 motorhome bays, and they intend to re site the Shower Block and Toilet, it all sounds good. There were two caravans there, apparently the occupants were at a wedding (big fat ----- wedding) but they bothered nobody, however I was surprised they were allowed to stay.

Whereabouts in Portumna is this one? Cruised through there couple of weeks ago and there seemed to be 2 or 3 possible places to stay over.

Down at the marina. Drive down the road opposite the church. You will pass the library and fire station. At the junction turn right through the set of gates. Kinda looks like you are driving into a stately house. Just follow your nose from here to the marina.

PS There are signs asking campersvan not to park at the marina wall. It's a simple and reasonable request. The convention is to park opposite the marina wall reversed into the grassy area.

Have seen a few campers parked up by the Library odd days lately.
