A lot of the converted campers I've seen and all the ones I've viewed so far have dark grey felt type walls/roof....just wondering has anyone changed or added to this - what's the work involved and what materials are good to use? Would like to lighten it up a bit if I buy one fitted out this way.

Thanks in advance for any advice/thoughts on this!

If anyone's done anything cosmetic/small work that had a big impact on their camper conversion would be interested to hear/see pictures :)

depends what you mean by "camper". if it's a van type conversion, have a look at my build thread beneath, if you're asking more coachbuild, I wouldn't have a clue (although i'd imagine the principals are the same)

wowsers looks awesome, thanks for the link !!!love the dotty roof (your schnauzer fits the colour scheme too!)!!!yes, that grey felt interior is what i mean and looks cool with the colour scheme of your vw, but wondering is there an alternative - it looks like you've got the red material on wood?is it padded?...am wondering will it be easy enough to replace with something or cover...but no idea with what!!also the campers im looking at(converted vans)have got cupboards and doors right up to ceiling so might be a real pain to resurface the entire thing...

Hi
Iv build a camper van this year and I used a cream leather on the wall it makes the camper very bright and easy to clean It was also very cheap at only 9 euro a meter I git 10 meters and that was to much if you go to the forum on top of the home page and click show us your mother home you can see for your self how it looks

yeah, the original vw panels on the roof, I remade them but altered slightly, added the light holes, covered with 10mm foam (to hide the fittings and give a smoother feel and then used curtain material. there are a lot of funky curtains on the web if you find some of the specialists. ours were bought locally. the wife did most of the covering to be honest.

I have a customer who has recently had his Hobby Caravan re upholstered and a great job was done from modifying seat cushions and doing the womanly thing ie colours and fabrics, me just dull grey, do fine to curtains and and bits and bobs, really nice and fresh
