Thank you for the welcome.

I have just retired and have upgraded to a smallish Winnebago.
Two of my best friends, now sadly departed, always toured Ireland in their old camper. They always overnighted in Pubs etc and said they were welcomed wherever they went. Mind you they were Publicans (old fashioned) themselves.

Whenever I find a nice Pub in England, I often ask to stay over, in order to consume more (including food) legally and so far have never been refused. Even been offered toilet and watering facilicities on several occasions and when last rising had breakfast in the establishment before taking to the road. What a wonderful life !!!

I'm not keen on organised sites and would much prefer to spend my limited hard earned funds over the bar, which hopefully, helps in this rotten recession.

Anyway, we are planning to come over soon and bearing in mind what I have said, is there any do's or dont's your members have for me please. Happy touring John

Welcome John, check out our usermap and POI downloads, loads of safe & verified places to stop. The do's and don't are pretty much the same as you would do in England :)

You're welcome. Depending on where you are visiting there are 4 Aires De Services in Northern Ireland and I think one in Ireland, they are in the POI downloads except for a new one that has just opened in Donaghadee which I haven't got round to adding yet.
