Hi to all. Am going to head to Cobh on Friday and wondering if I should put the bikes on. Has anyone cycled to cork from Cobh and if so is it safe. What's the train ride like and would it be a better idea than the bikes and is it expensive. Am told that I will come on the aire as I come into Cobh. Thanks for any updates.

I would not cycle anyway it is a main dual carriage way into Cork too busy a road. Train is right beside the aire.

The Road to Cork is very busy, I think I would take the Train. there is a T junction on the Road to Cobh and the Town can be accessed from the left or the right, go Right and it will be on your Right otherwise you will end up driving through the Town.

51.846413, -8.310102 if you have a sat nav these will take you right to the entrance. But if you follow Pat's advice and watch for the signs it is very easy to find. A great spot. Will be back during the summer.

There's some very steep hills in the town so best avoided in MH,

Train would be my choice as well,
