Some of that route would be very interesting in a motorhome as its tight enought doing it on two wheels. Applecross would certainly not be for the faint hearted.
Did some of that route in february a few years back, some great pics outside Eilean Dunan castle with snow coming passed horizontally. Then onto tour round Isle of Skye then over to Inverness and that wee town where they do the gatherin and on up to John O'Groats and back down to Edinburgh. Great fun and some great wildlife.

We also done this trip three years ago in May the road to applecross was scary but spectacular as we got higher there was snow still lying on the sides of the road would like to do it again when we know what to expect it would probably be more enjoyable and less nerve wrecking second time around it didn't help as we met a classic sports car rally coming the other way they probably thought we were mad trying it in a motorhome the other problem we had up round the north coast it was hard to get fuel on a Sunday we were driving on the fumes when we found a station open

We are definitely doing this in 2016. We need to avoid the midges, is that possible?
