They fail regularly Mick. If you're sure there's no leak, or not drawing air, the pressure build valve in the pump is probably on the way out. Try descale it first, if that doesn't work, replace. We keep the standard fitment one in stock.

thanks for reply tristan there is no leaks and not sure if its drawing air but im assuming if there isnt any leaks of water out there cant be an intake of air i might remove it later and give it a better coat of looking at and see if i can see anything or what should i be looking for i assume there should be a constant uninterrupted flow without the mentioned pulsing im getting

I also had a noisy pump and tried all the internet suggestions but now I have solved it.
When I was pre-prepping the van for this year when I turned on the kitchen tap it started to leak.
Took the top off and found that inside the canister workings of the tap there was crack in the plastic/ceramic plates. When I put a new one in the pump was much quieter. The dealer I bought the part from told me that they sometimes allow a little air in the system with wear before the finally go. Have decided now to change the other tap as the pump does seem more noisy when using this one and there is some minor pulsing.

My taps are the ones that has a lift up leaver that you move from side to side for hot and cold

Well almost open heart stuff
Switch off the pump!
On the top of the tap is a silver disc which you can ease out with a flat blade (you cant even put it back the wrong way) Under this is a screw take this out and the top of the tap all comes off and the discs are inside There is a large brass nut to undo (I used an adjustable) inside is a complete unit which simply lifts out. Drop a new one in making sure you line it up correctly with holes to holes (you will see what I mean) and screw it back together.
To be on the safe side I drained the tank

Skimpuls

Think the new unit was about £10.00 for mine but take the old one with you to the dealers as they tell me there are a few very slightly different models

We sell and fit a lot of pumps, hard water seems to be the main culprit.
