Forget about Stena at Cairnryan

Travelled up to day from York and was exhausted when I reached Stena at Cairnryan. I was hoping to park overnight but hey what? No way they told me to P... Off and come in the morning for my ferry. Most unhelpful and as far as they were concerned I could park anywhere but not on their property. So if you've booked with Stena don't be expecting to park overnight. I won't be booking with them again. They had a don't care less attitude. I'm not impressed to say the least.

Oh and by the way they could put me on another ferry tonight but I would need to pay £35.00 its gain at my religion to do that kinda thing. Found a nice lay by beside the sea and relaxing now.

Hope you have a nice evening
May be the intention was give no where to park so as that you would pay the extra, :bandit:

Disappointing end to your break.

I tend to use P&O mostly as I find Stena customer service diplorable. I used to drive the length of England, get the midnight crossing from Stranraer and then have to put up with a drunken discos/nightclubs aboard the HSS - incredible but true!

Last time I travelled with Stena, they had a large kids party running around the ship - anything to generate extra revenue!

Yeah I certainly will try and avoid travelling with Stena ever again. They are just interested in freight.

That was very shabby treatment Jack
Coincidently I was looking at that exact ferry crossing on-line two nights ago while doing bit of research.
So if we do manage to do a long over due re-visit to Scotland this year I think I'll give Stenna a miss if that is the treatment they give customers. :(

Air lines are worse!
I was booked on the 9pm flight from Glasgow to Dublin with Air Arann last year, but finished work early and arrived at the airport at 1pm and tried to get on an earlier flight but they wanted an extra €250 to do so. I doubt if the company paid anything like that for my return flights. A friend of mine was on the earlier flight and it was only over half full as was the 9pm flight that i travelled on.

It just does not make sense but they love to charge you extra as they think you are keen to get home. I would have stayed in a hotel sooner than give Stena extra for putting me on a earlier ferry.
