Haunted electric step

Another member of the owners club I belong to has a omnistep electric step that has a mind of its own.
The dam thing will random operated closed at any time with no reason. could be they are in the van or indeed no where near it.

One member has suggested a priest might be able to "exercise" the demons that it has picked up but thought that there may be some other reason.

Any body else solved this problem

It closes on its own, no one near it, engine off? Does the switch feel any way dodgy? Is it wired to come in when you start the engine?

Hi
It does it with no ignition on, other than that it works normally.

If you start the engine with the step out , does it retract? If so could be a D+ signal issue, otherwise I reckon a dodgy switch . Or a mouse at the wiring.....

Hi,
try the "select" button on your power supply unit, the brain box thing with the fuses, switches, etc. ours is a Sargent ec450. Hold the select button in to get the menu, press through to the step option, select which setting you want, this may help you. It did help me because I wanted to change the step setting to auto before.
