iphone Syncing

Hi, would someone help re. syncing my iphone to my desktop. I have recently had a new hard drive put in. computer.The operating system is windows 7. and I have downloaded itunes. but I'm not sure how to sync them so that my iphone is backed-up. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks simon

Plug he cable into the phone and the PC with iTunes running and it should see it and then allow backup.
