For me its very little to choose between.
I have both a wired version as a full time review camera mounted on the top of the van and wireless for the reversing camera mounted low down.
There is very little difference on the screen and although you will get different opinions if it is simply as a reversing camera I would go for the wireless it is 75% easier to fit as you do not have to get cable all the say from the back to the front .
Power for the back from reversing light screen from ignition source the wireless sensor powers up the screen when required.
Reason I have both is that you cannot have two wireless in one unit (at least that was what I was told)
Once again I expect that some will disagree but I now fit "Cheap" systems off e-bay and find them to be fine in fact in comparing so of my friend who have factory fitted systems they compare very well and quite a lot better than quite a few.
The one on my car was on for 7 years before the camera failed, not bad for less than £20 for a replacement camera.

Hi

Think the wired one was from these people I fitted it in 2013

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18-I…3cf5cc061d

The low down reversing camera looks like this but I bought if 4 - 5 years ago so cannot confirm I bought from this seller

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-LE…4622744a8a

The wireless kit is like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-…19f2910f85

Hope this helps

As I said others may disagree but for me they have worked fine

I've heard bad reviews on Maplin's range , so steer clear.

When mine works, its brilliant, it will stay on all day then just when you need it most it goes off. Finish reversing, switch the ignition of and it will come back on again! 🇧🇭 it's picking up interference from somewhere.

Wired for me - trunked out through the leisure battery compartment, switched on a toggle to left of steering wheel.
I leave it on when driving and its grand. Ebay also without the distance lines etched onto the screen,

I fitted a double reversing camere to my van --cost £200
A replacement lower panel at the rear---cost £700!!!!
The double (wired) camera also acts as a rear view mirror for vans with no rear window.
I got mine from Reversing Cameras UK.
Spend the money and protect your investment!!!

Be wary of cheapo stereos, I've seen loads of them drawing excessive current when turned off, and draining batteries. Hence we only fit Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC etc.

My reversing camera has suddenly started taken to showing the rear image horizontally flipped. So what is to the right is shown on the left. o.O

that is usually a setting to give a mirror image

I shall have to investigate.
