Been to England few times using seatruckferries out of warrenpoint to heysham. Cars or mmotorhomes only. No kids under 12 8 hr journey and you get a cabin,breakfast and dinner for £120 single journey. Morning sailing only. This is a no frills crossing but handy for reaching Lake District and Wales etc.

that's useful to know. for comparison, we travelled Dublin Liverpool a few months back and it was £300 return obviously plus food etc. we sailed around 8 ish in the morning 3.5 hour sailing. plus factor in travel time to/from Dublin , fuel costs etc.

It's a no brainer, even goig to the continent. Wonder if they partake in Landbridge?

I don't think they do landbridge, but with P&O and DFDS doing the channel crossing from around £39 each way just book separately.
