Group cheer everyone, no incidents on our last 2 weekends away :bash: :bash: :bash:
We left Dublin on a wet Holy Thursday and headed for Roosky. Grand spot for an overnight.
Waking to glorious weather on Good Friday we drove over to Achill stopping in Mulranny beach on the way. Fabulous place to stop, there is a height barrier, it was open, I haven't posted a review as I couldn't find any information from anyone regarding when and if they ever close it. Achill was just fabulous, 2 nights at Keem Bay, lots of walks, fell into a bog hole which was a shame. Walked the length of Keel Beach and drove to far side for our lunch before we left. With the fab weather we could've been anywhere and yes we did spot a pub open on Good Friday
Sunday night found us in Leenane, the locals are so delighted to see motorhomes overnighting there. Between the 2 car parks I counted 9 motorhomes.
Stopover at Loughrea on way home.
Over St Patrick's weekend we were surprised that no waterway facilities were open, including public toilets, we thought it was just a bit early. However, we were genuinely shocked that we did not find one public toilet open anywhere over Easter Weekend - we needed to empty ours. Although the toilet in Keem was locked the manhole cover was easily opened so problem solved. In Loughrea there were many families enjoying a day out, BBQ's, Swimming, kayaks, etc and toilets locked. I find this disgraceful
Great weekend, our next adventure is Vantastival
