Digital TV Aerial

Folks,

Just looking a wee bit of advice. Our Ace Napoli 4 when supplied new, didn't have a TV Aerial fitted.

Thinking of getting one installed and the Vision Plus Status 550 Digital TV Aerial installed Vision Plus Status 550

Just looking to see if anyone has any experience with same or if you have any other suggestions. No interest in an all singing all dancing satellite system, just a simple but efficient digital aerial.

Thanks as always.

Hi sgtzara, Don’t get confused With the term “Digital tv” and A “Digital aerial”

There is no such thing as a “Digital” aerial.
see HERE

Some discussion here: forum/topic.php?t=8247&page=fs…=tv;aerial

This should help you make an informed decision on what you need. :-)

That aerial System that you linked to should be ok for Tv Reception in the South of Ireland, provided that you have a Digital TV,DAB or a Set top box to link an old tv.
That looks a good price as well. :-)

My review on the Milenco 900 is HERE, bear in mind they now do a shorter one.

I have the shorter one. (did i just say that out loud lol )
Excellent piece of kit. I replaced a status 530. I must admit it is a lot lot easier than trying to point to the strongest signal. So far i have had signal every time.

We have the MH over a year and we have never been able to get the TV to work away from home. We use it with a roku box for the kids but as far as the TV - well :'( would be delighted if anyone can shed some light on my dilemma - have asked Mr. Tech head but he just gets grumpy. 🇧🇭
All suggestions at Vantastival are welcome along with a cuppa (wine).

You need wifi for the Roku box!

That side of things I have done to a T, most of the time. I have a dongle but we also bring the a media box player - sorry not sure of the technical term it is known as Faye's BOX in our house. She has all her favorites on it - which she is happy to watch again and again and again. That is when I plug in my ear phones and power up the wonderful Kindle. if it was a choice between the TV and the Kindle - then my kindle wins every time. :D But I did want to watch one thing at the weekend. No luck. :(

You have to re-tune you TV stations every time you move any distance as you are receiving from a different transmitter ,your van probably has a Status 315 aerial which are not great since Digital TV came in , so if you want surefire Corrie :D :D you will need a better aerial too ,Milenco power 900 seems to be a good one £100 up in NI dont know how much down here
