Bad connection in the wiring, or low battery.

Perhaps your control panel thinks it's its turn to break next.

Connections good , the problem happens when the tap is turned off and not every time though 🇧🇭

It could be a dodgy micro switch in the tap, have you tried it on a different tap and see if it still does the same thing, worth a try anyhow.

You may need to adjust the pressure switch at the the new pump. As the shut of May not be cutting out soon enough. Most likely a small flat head screw adjust it one way or the other

I was thinking the same but it should come pre set from factory,

Worth a try though,

Have found the adjuster but it made no difference , the problem only happens when the water tap is turned off , its like there is a power surge to turn it off 🇧🇭

I would re-connect the old pump and if the problem goes away, then I would look at possiblity of a faulty new pump. :-)

Not always, I have found. Regardless, it shouldn't knock out the control panel.

You need to Check the supply voltage to the board while the pump starts banging. Maybe give the board an independent earth too.

If it works and then trips the controller could it have something to do with the polarity of the pump you are trying to fit. If it is operating on reverse polarity it may be the cause, seem to remember reading this somewhere sometime but I cant remember where or when so I may be making this up

Don't know if this will help but make sure you don't have an airlock in your water I found that when I fill my tank for the first time that the pump clicks a lot and lights flicker until system is full and all the air is out of the system

I've never found polarity on the pump to cause harm. And it shouldn't be drawing enough power to make the light flicker.

Dave

Do you have anybody near you that could lend you a different make pump or maybe it would be worth considering taking the one you have and getting a similar output pump of a different make.
It has to be the pump if the old one but no idea why, most seems to have been covered as to what it could be.

I did a bit more checking today and the pump is rated @1.4 A but it is running @ 2A with a quick dart to 2.15A as the pump is shutting down , there is no expansion bottle on the system as far as i can see , which was in a previous van i had ,could this be the problem ? 🇧🇭 🇧🇭 🇧🇭
