Fiat Ducato 2.5TD Diesel Injectors

Hi folks - i have a dodgy injector on my van and I need to know are they difficult things to remove - got somewhere to send them off to too be reconditioned but its getting them out in the first place. I have the basic tool kit etc but is removing them dependent on setting up the timing etc after refit or is it a case of remove refit without any special tools?

Cheers and thank you

Phil

Remove and refit with basic tools. Just watch out that it's not stuck in place and that you properly clean the hole and fit a new seal after. No timing required. If your pulling one out, I'd pull them all and get them checked.

the seals are copper and should be replaced each time - there is also a small pipe (overfill?) that comes off the injectors that has copper sealing washers on as well. Will have a look for the torque settings later

Hi Phil = could you photo the swap over as i would like to do the same - interest and hopefully preventative maintenance although i am using an additive for helping the debris from the vegetable oil & diesel mix to burn off in the compression chamber

Will do - it's going to be for the next couple of weeks though as I need to track down the various seals and get some time to do it. Had a quik look and it doesn't look to difficult a job thankfully
