Slane concert

Hi folks,the wife and i are thinking on going to the concert this year,well not the concert but to a campsite for the craic and the hell of it.the sister in law and hubby want to go to the concert and we were thinking we could put them up in our side awning tent.Has anybody ever done anything like this? is it a goer or any info would be appreciated.Thanks .Paul

Stayed here some years ago for the Stones concert, they open up a large field for the concerts (at least they did then) Very convenient for the concert, just up the road. Huge number of campers, tents etc for that event, great crack with campfires going, not a lot of sleep though !!!

one of the official carparks allows motorhomes - its the large corner field opposite the arch at slane castle on the navan side - you should approach from navan ( entrance is from the far road and you are directed to this entrance - ive been to these festivals for the past 10 years and have never heard of any issues with this field ( will be cheaper than slane farm )
