Hello there, so I have just bought my first camper recently, I notice now that the pump doesnt come on when you push the button to flush the toilet, my question is does anybody have experience with this problem, can I get at the pump to test if its broke? Im in the leitrim/roscommon area.
any help would be greatly appreciated as im very new to all this and want to give it a go this summer.

In most Motorhomes the one pump does all, all that stops the water flushing into toilet all the time is a solenoid, when you press the flush button it opens the solenoid letting water flow,
Hopefully it's as simple as a loose wire or similar,

Does the pump come on when you turn kitchen/bathroom tap?

Most pumps (main pump) is either in water tank or beside it,

It may be as simple as a blown fuse, on the thetford one in my van the fuse is in the compartment holding the cassette.

Check to see if you have two pumps, a photo of the toilet may help. I fixed one that wouldn't flush with a separate pump by using a 9 volt battery and adding a switch.

Not 100% sure but I think you have two pumps, the round bit beside the seat, does that pull out? I think my pump was in there. It's a while ago! :)

The round bit beside seat is toilet roll holder and does pull out, giving access to inside tank.Look up thetford web site and you can download manual and parts diagram for toilet.

daithi the pump on thetford toilet is a separate unit located as vino said. It is an easy and cheap replacement. U do need to use shrink wrap when connecting up new pump though as the wiring and pump are submerged in the rinse water. Check all the obvious things first though...It could even be a stuck impeller on the pump, is there any faint sound coming from it at all when switched on?

I had problem with a thetford toilet it was a switch its located under the tank access through door remove waste tank look up there is a plastic cover held in 4 screws remove and you will find micro switch mine was all corded there are 2 switches on for flushing the other is activated when waste tank is in place if not there would be a mess used that one for the flushing and linked out the tank switch hope this helps
