Three.co.uk have an existing customer offer, a 4G mifi with 1GB data for just a little over £5.00 per month on a 24month contract.

I ordered one last night.

Handy if you need to tether in the South as I have tried everything to fool my phone to tether in the South with no luck

Needed wifi in UK last weekend bought a £15 all in 3 sim package (phone) and tethered to the laptop with a data lead. whether it will still work if I go back in a couple weeks remains to be seen.

4G in 99% of the south is a myth, if lucky I can get 3G my mifi unit with Tesco/O2 data sim generally only gets 2G.. Word is that O2and3 are to become one provider down here any time soon.

Away in van at present so typing this on phone, if you have no luck I'll post a link when I get home.

Increased my 1 gig to 5 gig, got another offer. Instead of £15 per month got it for £10 PM with only a 12 month contract. Had to pay off the remainder of the original but this worked out less than buying the MiFi.

Also bought one of THESE for the E5573 MiFi

Folks be careful and get your accountnwithnthree capped. I had a deal with them for £7.50 for 1Gig of data. I did this 3 months ago and prior to that my agreementnwithnthe was capped so when I reached my amount I had no service. I looked at my Bank statement yesterday and say for the past 3 months 3 had taken £16. £23 and £23. I queried this today and discovered my account was not capped because I renewed the contract. They charged me £16 for 1.1 Gb and £23 for 1.2 GB. I queried this with her but she was Having none of it. So the moral of the story is get your account capped as 3 don't let you know when you have all your data used.

I going to get a Mwfi. would this setup work for uk/Ireland/Europe with the right country Sim.
Huawei E5786 4G 300 Mbps, with a Kaleep 4G 35Dbi Antenna. Thinking of using a 4GEE sim in England as they seem to have good coverage. will it work I have never used Mwfi so no idea if this makes sense.

Firstly it can be a hassle to get separate sims for each country add to that you need to have an unlocked mifi to cope with it. The simple solution is use a 3 sim as they have the feels like home option to allow roaming in various countries at no extra charge as your usage comes out of your allowance. As for coverage, had the odd occasion while driving in France where we couldn't get a signal but once near a town it was fine. No problem in England at all.

I don't think limi can get "feel at home", do they do it on 3 Ireland?

I think 3 in Ireland is not the same as in the uk, my phone is on the vodafone network I have 6 gb of data per month, can I swap that sim out from the phone to a unlocked wifi unit and use this data, The phone it self is not great to pick up 4g outside of urban areas, I have no problem going on payg sims,

Most networks say you cannot use a phone sim in a mifi. It has also been claimed they will suspend the account if you do.

You need a data only sim in the mifi.
If you have no problem going for a PAYG data sim why not try it.

I am told that Mifi picks up a slightly different wave/signal and has a different signature hence the provider will know the sim is being used in a modem and will be blocked. If you have an Android Phone which can be used as a wifi hotspot there is no need for a mifi device and/or Data sim and you are using the phone signature.
