Coming from kilbegan to tullamore, take right turn to town centre before entering bypass. Come all the way into town pass hospital and gaa ground. Cross canal bridge and take left turn on bridge. Second right brings you to the canal harbor and a place to park up. Unfortunately no facilities but have used this spot to overnight on nights out in town with no problems. Short walk to all pubs and restaurants.

Hi,
The only safe place I can think of in Mullingar is the Park Hotel,(haven't stayed there in the van ourselves) a bit out of town on the Dublin side. But the hotel has a good bar and restaurant. There is also an independent Chinese restaurant in the same building. The town itself??? (even most boats I know won't over night on the canal moorings).
In Tyrrellspass, the hotel is closed, so maybe use their parking at the village green???
In Kilbeggan there's a 24hr Topaz on the Tullamore road, plenty of parking, short walk into town. But a lot of lorries overnight....
If I think of anywhere else I'll be back..
