Bodyshop needed -any recomendations?

Hi folks

I have a much loved, but elderly (1990) Autosleeper Talisman. The base vehicle is a 2l petrol Talbot Express. I have owned this for the last 15 years and it is now in need of some attention to rust in the wheel arches, inner wings and screen surround.

My question is can anyone recommend a good body shop to do these repairs? I want a proper job done with all rust cut out and replaced with new metal and a complete respray of the front of the van. I realise that this will be expensive - but it still considerably cheaper than replacing the van which in other respects is in good condition.

I live in Co Kerry but I am prepared to travel, almost, anywhere to have this work done.

Personaly I would stay well clear of the likes of "camperrepaircentre" not because they arent any good (Im sure that their work is excellent) but they are campervan specialists and that means €€€€€€€€€€€ !

The sort of work you have outlined should be able to be done by any competent body shop as none of it is rocket science - fitting innerwings screen suround is pretty much the same on a Talbot as it is a car - my first port of call would be with any local classic/vintage car club they usually know who does a decent job without you needing to sell a kidney!

I agree with Raymondo. Anyone should be able to do this job.

I have a mate who restores VW's in Kerry. I'll give him a shout and see if knows of anyone in the area.
