Hello Folks,

Just to say that Dometic will be taking a stand at the Holiday World Show Belfast Kings Hall 16/17/18 Jan & Dublin RDS 23/24/25 Jan .

We will have our own converted T5 Campervan on show with a few of latest products.

Make sure you come along and say hello, we will also be offering technical advice on any Dometic Product that may be causing you problems.

I also hear that a few of the dealers may be offering some competition prizes and Very Big Savings on Fridges, Air con units, Waeco Camera Kits and Cooler/Freezer boxes.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Why not use your pensioner pass and travel by bus or train and not worry about the car for once

What a fabulous show it is. Loads of stuff - loads of HYMERS - loved it!!
Donaghys did the business to get me in - thanks a million!

It was great criac dandering around looking into the Motorhomes and Caravans - places to stay in ireland / france with motorhome etc. Irish Camping / Caravan Club / others all showing where to stay etc and benefits of joining their clubs.

I liked it and might go back tomorrow to join some of the clubs - whats opinion of the better clubs = where is the better return for use in Ireland? :-)

Some on here love their clubs others loath them its up to you which suits you best.

The mccni seems to be a popular choice among some on here.

Personally I don't see the point in joining one as I don't go to sites even if they are preferred and cheaper or attending a rally/meet where everything is organised for you to do all day, I prefer to head off and wild camp and do my own thing.

Hessy Hymer Good to hear you enjoyed the Kings Hall. I wasn't going to bother this year but you have changed my mind, going today.

As for the clubs I am in the Caravan Club because it pays me £250 - £300 a year. You get Night Site Vouchers for using their credit cards. I have 2 cards and I sell the vouchers on Ebay every spring when you get £25 + each for them. Any purchase over £10 goes on the card.

Is there many Motorhome related stands in the Dublin Show? We went there a couple years back and you would see more at your local Motorhome dealership.

Don't know what show Hessy was at but there was only 3 hymers, overall about 8 Motorhomes and around a dozen camper vans, plenty of stands for hotels and destinations but glad I got the free ticket to go. Got my hearing tested while I was there and I'm going deaf surprise surprise.

Caravan Club Site Night Vouchers

 ·
Posted: 17.01.2015  ·  #27
Jack this is the address for info on the Caravan Club Site Night Vouchers

http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/insurance/credit-card

You will earn one Point for every £1 of Purchases appearing on your statement minus any refunds.
Once you have accrued 3000 Points you will be eligible to request a Site Night Voucher or Camping Cheque.
The vouchers can be redeemed at all Club sites, subject to availability, excluding Affiliated Sites, Management Agreement Sites (MAs) and Certificated Locations (CLs).
The voucher covers a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.

The maximum qualifying spend to earn points is £15,000 in any calendar year. We have 2 cards so that takes us to £30,000 = 10 vouchers worth £25 - £ 30 each to sell on Ebay.
I must admit I am helped to spend the maximum by my son who lets me pay for some of his motor part bills in return for cash.

I remember you very well Jack taking the morning service in the Caravan club and getting your caravan washed for FREE !!!!!!!!!! Do you remember that morning ????

I enjoyed the show as it was the first time i was at such an event. The range of motorhomes was great and they followed a significant amount of variations. With the size of the kings hall event - they couldnt place any other vehicles in there without using another hall.

I am consistently looking for the new add ons available in motorhomes and seeing if i can get them for instalments into Hessy.

There were heaps of holidays there - i got camp site booklets and motorhome palces in Ireland & France, a free drink at the airport stand and perhaps maybe a prize from one of the 200 competitions i entered while there? O-)

Sorry it didnt float your boat FC - but at least you know why people have been shouting at you for years now :o - its not ignorance - its just you are deaf!!

Yeah have my flight booked for the NECK. Just back from Belfast And I wasn't impressed at all. Just a few motor homes and not much else apart from hotels etc which I'm not interested in. Although I would have to say it was better than last year.

I think there`s a clue in the title The holiday show
A majority of the people attending have no interest in MH`s or caravans
Must say we enjoyed it and got some great info re campsites etc (sorry forgot you don`t use them either)

I ended up at the show although I had planned not to.
only two Motorhome dealers were there and both had a small selection covering a good price range. I don't blame others dealers for not attending as I believe the stand prices are unrealistic.

As Dan mentioned it is a holiday show with the leisure bit added on but it would be fairly dull if there were no Motorhomes or caravans there.

Got some good france information from one stand and had a look around our next Motorhome.

Anyone interested in an 8 month old Auto Trail Tracker?????

I started to get that sinking feeling as we were directed around the side of the Kings Hall to a building at the back (we were told that not much happens inside the Kings Hall these days). The kids had a ball entering competitions etc on iPads - can't wait for the all the junk mail to start arriving.

Donaghey's had the best stand by a longshot. Got some useful info on campsites esp some I had not heard of. Didn't sign up for any memberships and was really disappointed that there we no "accessory" stands as I was after a few bits. All in all the kids had fun, didn't pay to get in (thanks to Donaghey's) and we got some useful info.

Not sure why everyone thinks I didn't like it as I haven't given my opinion! All I commented on was Hessy saying about being in loads of hymers. Overall it was a decent show as it was as I knew catering for the holiday destinations with leisure added on. We picked up information on various locations including sites as its good to have some info if heading away to areas you haven't been to before.

I'm realistic in that to see the best range in Motorhomes you have to go to the likes of the NEC or one of the European equivalents. I have to say when I was at the nec I bumped into more people I knew than I did at Belfast!

I bought 2 UGO Mini Bluetooth Speakers and they are excellent. I am absolutely delighted with them and will save me taking my good Bose system with me.
