I recently filled my gaslow system on the way to a rally. The whole weekend we could smell gas outside the van near the bottles.
I checked around the fittings in the locker with soapy water but found no bubbles to indicate a leak. I planned to take it to LTS the following week to see if he could help.
I put the van back into storage on the Sunday night and on my return on Tuesday it was clear there was a leak. The smell of gas inside the workshop was very noticeable.
I checked everything around the gas locker again but found no evidence of a leak. It was only when I was under the van I discovered the fitting on the rear of the filler had cracked.
I took it up to Simon at LTS and two hoses were replaced as well as the split fitting.
It just shows how easy it is to have a problem and not be able to find it on inspection. I was almost convinced there was no leak after checking twice.
Another great job by Simon at LTS.
