Passed there last week and the 'real' end of the Middle pier, they head where we normally park, was subject of road/improvement works and was closed. There were 6/7 campers parked closer to the yacht club, lower end of pier. I am not sure what exactly the works entail, but I think it is to put up small sefety railings to avoid cars driving off the pier. I will check it out further tomorrow, if I get time.

No works ongoing. I was out in the dark this evening, but it was not evident exactly what work had been done. The pier head was all fenced off the other night, but it is totally clear as of now.

If you are intending to use the Dart to get to the concert, make sure you know approximately the time of the last train back as the concert may not finish until after it has gone.

Hi Guys, we've been to Howth a few times on day trips in the MH, but never overnight. Thinking of going there tomorrow night. Is there usually company? Have any of you ever heard of any trouble there? We're usually cautious enough about our wild spots (not that Howth pier is particualrly wild ) , so trying to suss it out, thanks.

Just back from Howth today - been there since Wednesday. Wed night on our own, Thursday two other motorhomes and by Friday afternoon a cluster was growing. No problem whatsoever. As usual several traders benefited from us being there. Great entertainment on Wednesday as we watched a crane lift a white van from the harbour. pictures to follow in a day or two.
