Hi all - a friend of mine is looking to replace some hinges damaged - they are the ones at the outer storage areas and they are aluminium - he cant find these anywhere and has had to use steel - rusting like hell - they are 3 1/2 x 1 inch and are the same as mine - his van is a LMC liberty and mine is a Rotec ( same builders - Hymer ) . Anybody any idea where to source a few of these please ?

Have you tried donaghys as they are a hyper dealer

They seemed pretty chilled out to me.

If you can't get them from the dealer they sound like a fairly standard size so why not give brass ones a try. If it was me I would slip a bit of bike inner tube between the hinge and body work so that there could be not different metals reaction

Is there a reason why you cannot paint them?

Hi there...
Did you ever get the hinge (s) ?
I have the same issue, the three on the outer storage area are needing replacing.
The closest I can see in terms of a description is what you'll see if you google an image for a 'static caravan hinge'.
yet the three I am after are a good deal shorter than what appears to be the norm.
I dont mind though, they will fit, it is the width that is key as they sit into a bit of a channel, so should only be 25mm wide...

getting to the point - can I get them in Ireland or do I need to order either from UK or ebay and hope they fit??!!

Ta & apologies for dredging up and old post but I have not the right to PM...
