Must be early or late in the season to get that price. Well done.
It's about €900 for us in July. Seriously having a rethink.

Has Rory vanished off the planet? With prices like that many will not be going to France unfortunately.

Mark we used to go every July until I decided to look at other periods for our trip. We tried September and found it cheaper and weather was still good but the evenings were getting darker so it shortened our days. We then looked at June found sailings cheaper, weather good, Aires less congested and bright evenings. That was in 2009 and have stuck with June since then. We have never paid more than 450 euros for the trip.

We went in June 2013 and it was fine. I just find there is so much more going on in July and August. It could be June 2015 just because of price of sailings.

If not, some of that €900 could end up in the irish economy.

We were thinking of France for 2015 but are confined to the very end of June when school breaks. Do people advice you book as early as possible and when should one do that? Rosslare would be our nearest ferry port? Advice welcome.

I saw that Siobhan but I thought it might suit someone, we got a very good deal from LD lines last year and booked it very early and we planned everything else around it.

Just out of curiosity did any of you guys check Irish Ferries with the FRANCEC15 discount code and was there much difference between the two? I have just checked the price with Stena, using Pats link, for the dates I booked with Irish Ferries and Stena were dearer.

Every time I price with Stena the price is different for the same dates.
On one occasion it was cheaper without using the link Pat provided.

I find that you should try them all, we actually got a good last minute deal off of Brittany Ferries from Cork three years ago. Any time that I checked them since they were off the radar.

Is there that much difference between Stena and Irish Ferries fares considering that you can avail of a free trip across the Irish Sea with Irish Ferries if you sail with them to France? The journey to Holyhead has to be worth at least 2 to 3 hundred Euros!

Looking at Ferry prices at the moment, Gerard!
Stena with the Ploughing Discount is €63.50 cheaper than Irish Ferries with FranceC15 code for similar dates as we travelled this year. As you say you have the free trip to the UK with Irish Ferries (we had it in the past and never used it) and you have the choice of Rosscoff or Cherbourg to Sail into. At the end of the Day there is probably not a lot between them, Roscoff might be better if you were going down the west coast the scenic route or stena if you were bringing a Dog.

I sat down last night and tried the Stenna site without the 25% discount link for three dates.

I repeated the dates with the link and saw the base price was higher to start with.
All three worked out close to the same price with or without the discount link.

I have noticed others mention having to phone. Is there an additional discount when you phone?
If there is I obviously need to book before end of today.

Afaik the discount is on the crossing and the flexi option but not on the Cabins. I Think { might be wrong ) that if you pay on line they want the money up front but there is a discount for web booking. If you phone them they will give you the web price and let you off with a deposit.
