Cork Park and Ride

Hi,

We want to visit Cork, next week. I checked the park and ride website, and found that there are height barriers.
Does anyone know if it's possible to park anywhere near to the park and ride, with a motorhome, or anywhere else that might be suitable.

Thanks, Mick H.

Hi Max,

Thats great. Just checked on the Craic POI's on my sat nav, and it's shown there, so we will go to Cobh aire, and spend the night, if it's ok.
Many thanks for the info and the prompt reply.

The Cobh aire has had decent reviews by those that have used it so you should be grand, have a good time.

You can park at the Cork park and ride (Black Ash).

Just drive in through the bus entrance. The staff will open the barrier for you. Go past the building and turn left. Park near the fence and go chat to the staff.

They are really friendly and will keep an eye on your van. Can't remember the cost but the bus runs into Cork every ten or so minutes and takes five minutes.

Thanks everyone. I'm inclined to try the Park & Ride, first and then overnight at Cobh.
All the advice is much appreciated. Great forum, this.

The park and ride Black Ash is on the South Ring Road Cork not in Cobh John.

Mind you the aire at Cobh is right at the railway station, so it is nearly a park and ride.

I suspect the fares might be more expensive though and the station in Cork not so central.
