Dublin - 3 Arena

Hi all,

Won tickets to a gig in the O2 Dublin, now the 3 Arena I believe, and are wondering which of Camac Valley camping park or Howth aire would suit best, for using public transport? This would be our first camping expedition to the Capital so are clueless in this regard. I'm sure many of you on here will be well able to set me straight on the matter :D

Thanks!
Maura n Jack

stay in howth, public transport links are better, dart to connolly, cross the road to busaras and take a luas to 3 arena. if you stay in camac, you can take the luas to 3 arena, buts its a taxi spin from red cow to camac valley, or a long walk

No doubt Howth is much more convenient. We did it last year from Howth and we didn't have to pay a penny as we are Seniors.

Hi Maura.

Just check that the DART is still running after the gig is over if you chose Howth.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the tip, I hope we will be out in time to get the last DART back from Connolly, no free travel for us though Jack, unfortunately. :D Roll on the day, there will be no stopping us ;-)

Thanks again to all who replied,

Maura

John, if your good lady wife knows you are on publishing her age you'll not live long enough to get your own bus pass :D :D
I could be wrong but I think you can only travel in the north free from 60 to 65 and then you get the full travel pass and you can go south.

Yes Pat, wasn't Lisdoon traditionally a farmers holiday anyhow? Only fitting then that we should meet up there :D :D
Where do you think ye will park? We'll keep an eye out for your bus
