Just returned from a delightful weeks holiday in bonnie Scotland in our motorhome.

As one expects, clocked quite a few other motorhomes out and about and of course, partook in the old 'motorhomers wave' with a return rate of about 85%. Most of the vans who failed to return the wave were foreign registered, perhaps they haven't been briefed on this wee quirk?

Anyhow, back home now and was out in the car today heading from Belfast towards Bangor and clocked a few motorhomes heading Belfast bound. The instinct to wave, despite being in the car was very strong. Nearly waved a few times but then caught myself on ...

Yeah I know how it is as I've found the same. We must always keep the wave as there's something about it in the Motorhome.

I wave all the time at MH's when not in the MH, I think they understand! :-/ Or maybe they think I am mad :-/

Great to wave on route made our first trip to Killarney for three days waved at everybody got big waves back great crack wave for craic :up:

Remember the days when the AA man on his motorbike saluted you if you had an AA badge on your car? I often think of it when in the Motorhome but I get really annoyed if I wave and don't get one back.

I may mutter a few words under my breath if folk don't wave back, moreso if I know they've seen me. Same goes for the 'bikers nod'.

I had one digger but I don't know where it has gone. Probably packed away somewhere.
