Hi Maurice.

Ballinasloe is not very MH friendly lots of barriers, but you can stay at Mycarn lodge its a bit out of town about 10 cycle, its a lovely quite spot and quite safe, the owner is a sound guy the food is good and reasonable,i have used a few times mostly during the Ballinasloe horse fair in Oct.
There is a lidl and Aldi and Tesco in town the put up barriers in Oct but not this time of the year you could try them first

There is no overnight parking signs, I was there 4 weeks ago 3 other vans parked, told me that there is no problem parking there ,the signs were ment for undesirables :'( .go into the carpark on the left and keep over to the left.
Or you could try loughree east at 15e pn for subscribed member's

There's plenty of parking in the harbour of shannonbridge,ya might need to have a look if you are coming from the village before you enter the harbour........but usually ok to park. The loos are open and showers are tokens.......from shops/pubs in the village. Lukers on the harbour is open again........kileens is as usual .......unusual. Twenty minutes from ballinasloe, around the same to Athlone, half an hour to Tullamore. Can recommend the pale ale (smith wicks) in kileens.

I stay regularly in Shannon Harbour which is just up the road from Shannon bridge.
Lovely spot.
Enter by second road avoiding B&B.
