Thanks Esther & Stevie with a v for posting about this wee festival.
This is one for the diary next year for definite!
Also the organiser was very agreeable to a meet here as he wants it to be used as much as possible.
We are sorry we couldn't go for the 2 nights.
The venue is situated 500m from the centre of town in Raceview Mill Centre, and you are well in off the road in a big field with good hard soil. There was bistro burger vans, buskers, a large marquee/beer tent with a butchers stall selling beef from cows who are fed beer every day. Lovely meat. Loads of hay bales to sit on, lovely staff all wearing braces and aprons, the American backwoods look. Selling local beers and ciders, mmmmmm! with live music all day, craft fair, vintage cars, a blacksmith making great ornaments etc. there was a blast of the Lambeg drum at the end of the night, what a brilliant noise!
Ally I have the contact details for the organiser if there was interest in a meet. He is also planning a christmas market this year which could be a possibility.
There was 4 vans at the Aire in the town but I don't think they knew about the festival.
Prices; the weekend ticket was £15 each all in including parking and concerts. (Best option)
Otherwise it was £5 in each & £7 each for the concert. We arrived late, 4.30ish & they only charged us £5 all in. We missed the start of the Saturday concert & were admitted for free. So it was £2.50 each for a safe stopover with live music up to midnight! Couldn't beat that.
Spent a few pounds at the bar & craft fair but I always think you should to support things like this.
I would be interested if anyone was keen for a meet there & can arrange with the manager who is mega motorhome friendly!
Brilliant wee fest, not to be missed.
John Emily & Bizz woof!
