Mifi is a mobile network based means of getting on the internet and sharing it with other devices you have, wifi is a wireless network set up by either yourself or someone else eg McDonald's etc. some sites have wifi for free and others charge to get access. If you intend to wildcamping then mifi is the way to go. The three network allows you to roam with no extra charges where as O2 etc will charge a fortune for roaming.
