After months and months of frustration I thought I would share this with you all.

I assumed rightly or wrongly that if you encountered problems, that could not be rectified, with a Motorhome that you had purchased on finance you could phone the finance company and after a fashion get your money back, especially as the MH was already handed back to the dealer.

WRONG

You see it all the time on forums, if anything goes wrong ring the finance company and they will cancel it.

That's not the case, the finance company will not cancel an agreement without the dealers permission. So you have to argue your point with the dealer and hope they agree to cancel it, if not then it is a court case. I am sure most dealers would not let it go this far and I am sure most would be understanding, but just a gentle warning of what could happen should your dealer argue the point. You could be waiting months on a court case whilst you pay for a Motorhome that you cannot use. You can't get another as it looks like you already have one on your credit file and then to top it all off trying to get the finance removed form your credit file is not easily done either.

Maybe you all know this and I was being naive but it was news to me. :-|
