The blade on the cassette toilet keeps jamming and the mechanism underneath the blade drops down into the cassette messy business putting it back together could there be a seal or washer missing

Hi paddyx,

Sorry I cant be of help on the specifics of your problem, but thetford have a pretty good website and an online parts and exploded diagram for their cassettes. The hand book I think also has the diagram so you might be able to compare what you have against it.

You tube has some good how to videos on all sorts of subjects, might be worth checking or a quick phone call to Simon at LTS for advice.

It is a thetford and when I flush and turn the lever to empty the blade ends up in the holding tank I bought the camper in 2013 and is in immaculate condition except for the toilet which seems to have a lot of wear compared to everything else which has had little use

It is possible to buy a new cassette only if you think the old one is just worn out

If it is a C200 cassette let me know as I have a brand new one (unused and still boxed as I brought the wrong one)

Sure you didnt leave it at the loos some night after a few shandy's  Forgot it till next day and it ran away itself

I would leave mine alone unless you have an Orange or Yellow Air tight Hazard suit :D

Last year being new to this activity - it was a quick but informative learning curve on how to use them without getting covered in blue chem

Ya figured what the little yellow button is for so :o

I met a friend who has been emptying cassettes for a few years now and we happen to meet at the emptying station, he was standing outside the door and was as awkward as could be, (just shy of wearing the hazard suit)

When I pointed out the air button he shook his head,

It's when the lid or the flap drop into the murky stuff when emptying that causes the annoyance, I wonder has anyone on here done that.

I only pointed out the perils of emptying your cassette.
