Does anyone know if there is any availbility left for campers at the Sunflower Festival? I couldn't find any information on the website and I know that I had seen some posts on here earlier on this year about the festival

Cheers :D

If you go to the ticketmaster link on the website you will find campervan tickets there. There are very few left, be quick.

See here forum/topic.php?t=5303 for the list that is going so far.

I have been every year and brought the Motorhome last year. I work at it every year so have never purchased a ticket. I am going today to check out a new Motorhome area at the festival and will report back here. You cannot camp in the family section unless you have children with you and I wouldn't advise camping in the singles camping if you want to sleep :)

New area for Motorhomers, for those that were at the craic meet there it is the same entrance but before you turn right down the stony lane into the farm there is a field on your left that is now the Motorhomeparking area. For those that were not at the Craic meet, it is the shared lane access, not the car park.
A huge flat area that can accomodate a lot of Motorhomes. There will be a water tap across the lane and portaloo's. This will be a quiet camping area, so no loud music or noise allowed. You gain entrance to this field by purchasing a campervan ticket.

Load in times are between 5pm and 8pm on Thursday 21st August.

Due to child protection laws imposed on the festival, if you have children with you i think you still have to park in the family camping field.

Going to ask a stupid question but here goes - load in for campervans is Thursday night I am assuming this means you can sleep there on the Thursday night even though nothing kicks off until the Friday ?

You can indeed.

Can either drop the van off or stay.

It must have been a really good festival as none of the attendees have checked in yet, so must be lying low to recover

Just checking in, surprisingly enough it was a well behaved few days, the music was over each night at midnight and they had the fire out at 1am. There was some great music and the food stalls were tremendous. The down side was the walk to and fro the stages, we had to walk up hill and down dale.

There were 5 different music stages, although we mainly only attended the 2 larger stages, there was the boat which was great, the music in the barn was LOUD and in the moat (wooden hut) was easy listening and quite enjoyable. There were other areas were they told stories, read poems, fortune tellers, wood carving, health stalls with the most fantastic food, there was a cinema in the trees with a film on each night at 9.30am, there was also a fairy light walk though the trees which we only found on the last night, you really would need to have walked around the whole site to really appreciated it all, it was an enjoyable event.

We had a great weekend and would attend again.
