Hi Micklad . There are bolts at each side of the battery tray that have to be taken out and the tray hinges down enough to take the battery out of the tray Remember to spray them with penetrating oil beforehand otherwise u could break the captive nut that the bolts are screwed into. It is a very poor setup for a battery to be located outside a Motorhome . I recently relocated the battery to under the seat in the hab area and was able to fit 2x 110ah batteries that the customer wanted. A much better setup and easier to get at for maintenance . Hope this helps

The main thing to remember is to make sure you wire them negative to negative and positive to positive otherwise you could end up 24volt.

Hi Micklad,
don't forget to vent the hydrogen gas, which builds up during charging, to the outside otherwise you will have an explosive mixture build up in your cab. Leisure batteries come with a H2 tap-off pipe which you can feed through the floor of the cab for venting.
Regards,
Joe.
