External panel repair

Hi folks,

Another thread showing my ignorance of all things motorhome.

On a camper I looked at, there's a bit of damage on the exterior where someone had a bit of a reversing incident - it has left a small hole (you could cover it with the palm of your hand), high up on the side panel towards the rear.

I'm afraid I don't even know what material the panels are made of - aluminium maybe?

Just wondering if something like this could be patched up, or is it a bigger job than I seem to think it might be?

Can be patched without to much problems, they are usually aluminium. Be careful the damp has not got into it though.

Sorry Ciaran, don't know, I have a smaller campervan made outta metal, but I have been down to the local post office which I reversed hard into about a year ago sending my external mounted rear wheel almost level with its partner door, and they are rebuilding the wall :D :D :D
Don't think it was only me.

A few members have jointly purchased a high spec meter, available for hire. Please I'm not involved.
