Hi,

Relative newbie here so apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong section.

Just wondering if anyone has stayed in the above campsite and what they thought of it? Staying there for 2 weeks in August with 3 children age 6 and under.

Also wondering about St Jean de Monts itself- reading some v mixed reviews re it being a purpose built resort and about as far from the real France as you can get! Stayed near St Giles Croix de Vie last year and loved the cycle paths etc through the Vendee.

Some of our resident France experts may take longer than usual to give an opinion, they are in France!

Adi,we have stayed in st Jean de monts a few times, haven't stayed in the acapulco site ,we stayed in the camping le bois joli which is nearby, nice enough town to cycle into,we did a bit of fishing from the pier but i believe it has since been washed away in a storm. there's some nice bars and restaurants along the promenade .Enjoy your holiday, its a beautiful part of the country you wont be disappointed.

Sorry but I don't know the site either.

The town is fine especially if you have kids with you. There is a large water park not too far from the beach.
I have net been for a few years but I am sure there were cycle paths along the coast through the forest.

There are lots of campsites in and around the town so if you don't like the one you are in there are plenty to choose from but I am sure you will love it.

Sorry i dont know the site we stay in Le Bois Jolie when there ,St John has lots of cycle tracks all around some even have places for you to inflate your tyres if needed ,cycling in the forrest would be nice and shaded for you in Aug as it will be hot there ,try and get a shaded pitch with your door facing the morning sun ,a drive up to Normoutier (spelt wrong )is well worth the trip and not too far

Thanks Mark and Eirebus.

The site looks lovely with plenty for the children, and once the general area has plenty to do, we will have a great holiday.

Thanks everyone for replying. Feeling much relieved after the poor Tripadvisor reports on St Jean de Monts!!
