We booked to stay for one night this weekend as it was safe for the wee one to play near the van. However when we arrived we found a group of gypsies 'living' on the site. Nog sure if this is normal but it certainly put us off staying there.
Now I have nothing agains travellers but wouldn't choose to stay on a site with them.

I am a fan of tollymore and I remember this subject came up before.........namely gypsies/travellers being there. I stayed there once when they were present and to be honest didn't have a problem with them. Sure there were loads of kids and bikes and dogs and lots of loud bantering to and fro between them..............but that you'll get in any site that's busy. They spoke.........I spoke back, they admired my beagles, I admired there terriers, blah blah blah.
Now ........I know that a certain element can be problematic/troublesome but we can spot that and choose to move. Overall I have never had any reason to just up and move.

Spent Monday night, 21/3/16, in tollymore. A fair few caravans around but seemed like all families. When we arrived there was no warden about so we parked up on one of the pitches. We didn't need hook up so I'm not sure if it would work without checking in. Went to ranger's Hut next morning to pay. Only £13.50 for the night. Facilities were grand. We would go back but I don't think I'd go in high season. The pitches are very close together.
