There are two windows on the camper that should slide open the problem is they won't budge and I am afraid to force them for fear of breaking them would the previous owner have glued them or could I chance forcing them open

The ones on my Pilote were the same, they really needed new runners. I forced them open, I am not saying you should do that though :)

Paddy

You could try spraying the seals and window inside and out with silicon spray leave it to work for a few hours then carefully insert something flat and thin between the window and seal (thin plastic say something like an old credit card) Respray with the silicon again and hopefully this will help

I agree with heanorboy...

If there's one thing I've learned about opening old stuff that doesn't want to be opened, it's slow and steady progress only, unless you have a replacement for the item you're about to break...

If the window tracks are very dirty you could try a steam cleaner but I suggest you mask the glass with something.
