Been toying with the idea of buying a safe for the motorhome for a while.

Came across this gem of a product which I paid a mere £26.01 for via an e-bay auction. They do a buy it now price of £49.99 (free p&p) but typically have 3 auctions running at the same time.

Link:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOKB…2ed2e26584

Product Page:- http://www.lokbox.co.uk/product.html

For the price, it's a good bit of kit, obviously not as sturdy as a full blown safe but it's a good size and if someone breaks in, they'll have to spend a bit longer trying to get into same with the alarm ringing in their ear.

Comes with a security cable for fixing same to an object, the bottom support of our additional fitted rear seatbelts is perfect and it fits under the rear seat.

Might not be everyone's cup of tea but works for us.

We had a safe fitted to our old camper, it was bolted to the floor under the sink, thought they were standard until we got the new van, was great for keeping the plastic bags in!!!

We bought a new electronic safe when we got the van and bolted it through the floor and I thought it was a great job until I forgot the code the following year, so I googled the make and model to see if I could reprogram it. One of the first posts that came up was how to open it with the factory code which was given. Put in the factory code and hey presto the lock opened. So all a robber need do is google your safe make and model and he will get the factory code and he is in.

I had a safe fitted to my last van, when the van was broken in to,they ripped out the safe did untold damage, and all that was in the safe was a spare key. :wallbash:

So I wont have a safe again, plenty of hiding places around the van.
