Adria electronics apparently need Gel Batteries or so I'm told. They won't work on ordinary Leusure a Batteries.

My adria is running on wet batteries jack, it's 2001, a battery gives 12.6v weather it wet or gel but they do have different charging patterns,

Adria may have got a back hander to put the gel only sticker there ;-)

As far as I know the gel does not need annual maintenance where the wet does

I'm by no means an expert on this but when I bought my van that's what I was told.

Wet batteries give off hydrogen which has to be vented away. Gel batteries don't (AFAIK)

Also forgot to ask could I change batteries over myself, is it difficult to do? Have read about switches needing to be changed in fuse box - is it a straightforward enough job? Many thanks Nicholas

You can change them yourself, it's usually a case of quick release fasteners, just take the positive (red) one off first and fit it first to the new one. Don't know about switches as every van has a different way it handles things like batteries, if you ring michelinman ( willie) he sells batteries etc and could help you out or any one of our other sponsors

On the Vision it's a doddle , they have the batteries in a drawer on the LHS . They use a standard Electrobloc , works perfectly with Wet batteries , abd they last longer .
